Adam contacted me with a special request:

I was happy to assist Adam with his build–custom rigs are one of my favorite things to work on. Adam was bringing me a bit of a challenge because the build he decided on is rather small–and it was deemed by the internet, The AMD Hot Box.

I was on board immediately! After a bit more consulting and a few life delays on Adam’s end, he was finally ready to meet!

I was very excited. So excited in fact, I forgot to take before pictures. I didn’t start documenting until I already had some of the wires managed and the power supply mounted (via zip ties, there was no way to get it screwed in)

With the power supply secured it was time to get the rest of the wires managed, this took a while but when all was said and done the back panel of the case would come on and off with ease–when your wires aren’t managed right it can take some struggling to get your case to close–but not Adam’s AMD Hot Box.

I can see why Adam didn’t want to fool with this–it’s a lot of wires and it looks confusing!

After a lot of trial and error, I finally started to make sense of the mess and everything started coming together nicely. The left side of the case was so cluttered with wires it was hard to make that part look real neat–however the finished product turned out great!
